In our contemporary technological, politically charged, and economic driven world I fear we have lost in significant measure the appreciation of the sacredness of all of life.
A recent visit to Maine, an annual pilgrimage, reminded me of the importance of a sense of place. More than geography, health, or economic security, I have come to know that a sense of place is a home in the heart.
In the 60’s singer songwriter John Lennon, himself a victim of gun violence, left us a simple song/ manifesto, “ all we are saying is give peace a chance.”
I am enjoying a farewell moment on the Greek Island of Santorini. A truly breathtaking and perhaps the most beautiful and peaceful place on earth that I have seen. So BLESSED to experience it!
