The capacity to self-correct; we live in an age of self-promotion. Social media, networking, advancement and achievement drive many forward in our quest to lead. There is an inner greatness as well rooted in our capacity to self-correct. Critical self-reflection is a hallmark of leadership for the long haul. When the boundaries of life and other are our primary constraints the ride is bumpy. Space and time are important to recalibrate, recharge our batteries, love another unconditionally, acknowledge our mistakes, check our ego at the door, appreciate the awe of our natural world and cherish what is sacred. Studies on derailment time and again remind us that overextending our gifts is the most frequent path to fail. Walking humbly within ourselves and with others is the surer path. -Dave Ramey
