In our contemporary technological, politically charged, and economic driven world I fear we have lost in significant measure the appreciation of the sacredness of all of life. The real truth of it all lies in the belief and treasure of each moment, each person, each experience, and all of the natural world as an extraordinary gift from the creator. Each pillowy cloud formation on a beautiful day, every blade of grass, each word of tenderness and love from another reminds us of the wonder and awe which we are immersed within.
Even the harshest moments of our broken experiences refine our capacity to seek out and cherish the beautiful and indeed the holiness we crave.
When we look at life this way a natural inclination is stirred within us to do good, to be better, to appreciate more in gratitude.
The forces of darkness do not destroy the sacred nature of life and the world. They may well obscure and distract our vision. The sacred beauty of life is indestructible and available for our choosing.
