David Ramey

A late night persistent rain steadily echoed on the skylights in my living room. I prayed and imagined the rain as God’s mercy saturating the weariness in our souls and the distress of our world. Water is so woven in the fabric of life. It grows our food. It keeps us clean. It provides for our transport, recreation, and even our meditation and solitude. No wonder it is symbolic of God’s mercy. May we stop often and marvel with gratitude at the gifts like water that come to us naturally and constantly.
