Pamela Sunderland

 

Pam Sunderland is Strategic Leadership Associates Senior Human Resource Consultant. Her career in human resources and administration, which spans 25+ years, includes management positions with The Dayton Foundation, The Center for Nonprofit Resources, and Ponderosa, Inc. As Vice President of Operations and Administration for The Dayton Foundation, Pam implemented a compensation program and a performance review system which included responsibility for training and assisting employees with developing annual measurable goals.While at The Dayton Foundation, she provided board leadership in the recruitment and selection of the Foundation president, the Executive Director of Carillon Historical Park, and the Executive Director of The Disability Foundation.  She was founder and president of The Business Extension where she provided nonprofit and small businesses with a wide range of human resource services including the development of Employee Handbooks and training employers on appropriate interview skills.She received a B.S. degree in Business Education and a M.S. degree in Business and Industrial Counseling Management from Wright State University.  She is a 2003 graduate of Leadership Dayton and maintains an active membership with the Society for Human Resource Management.   Her commitment to community includes serving as a Huber Heights city council member for four years and on the Board of Zoning Appeals for 8 years.

Pam served as president of the Vandalia-Butler Chamber of Commerce, president of the Vandalia Rotary Club, and Assistant Governor for Rotary District 6670. She was selected to lead a Rotary Group Study Exchange Team of young professionals to New Zealand for a five-week vocational/cultural exchange.  She served as the first president of the Huber Heights YMCA Governing Board and continues to serve on the YMCA Board.  Currently, Pam also serves on the board of Crayons to Classrooms, a new nonprofit organization.
